Apply via Post Process Volume
- Place or select a Post Process Volume in your level.
- In the Details panel, expand Color Grading → Global.
- Set LUT Intensity to
1.0(or blend to taste). - Pick your desired LUT from the LUT Texture slot.
Post Process Volume
└── Color Grading
└── Global
├── Color Grading LUT → [Your LUT Texture]
└── LUT Intensity → 1.0
Set LUT Intensity below 1.0 to blend between the LUT look and the scene's natural colors. A value of 0.5 gives a subtle grade.
Apply via Camera Actor (Cine Camera)
If you prefer per-camera grading instead of a global volume:
- Select your Cine Camera Actor.
- In Details, find Post Process → Color Grading.
- Assign the LUT texture and set the intensity.
Tips
- Start with Intensity at 0.3–0.5 and raise it until the look feels right — most blockbuster LUTs are strong.
- B&W LUTs work best when Scene Color is already reasonably exposed; avoid using them on very dark or overexposed footage.
- Old Film & Winter LUTs pair well with slight Vignette and reduced Bloom for a more authentic feel.
- LUTs are applied after tone mapping in UE's pipeline — make sure your scene is graded/exposed before judging the result.
